Abstract
The Mini-Symposium (MS) aims for highlighting/discussing new developments in the high-speed phenomena related to the explosion wave or impact resistance of the structure. Papers of theoretical, experimental and applied nature are especially welcome. The scope of MS is broad and includes papers with a meaningful mathematical background and topics such as applied deterministic or random methods describing an explosion phenomenon or impact load. Papers dealing with applications in both physics and engineering, including case studies and technical development support, as well as interaction with other areas, are invited for submission. A non-exhaustive list of topics includes:
- High-speed impulse load in the analysis of the behaviour of materials and structures.
- Optimization of material systems/structures designed for impact loads.
- Constitutive models fordescribing materials taking into account failure and strain rate effect.
- Computational mechanics using numerical methods.
- Phenomena of shaped charge in civilian and military engineering problems.
- Material characterization and testing under dynamic and/or strongly dynamic conditions.
- Ensuring the structural safety and resilience against impulse and/or explosive loads, including the propagation of shock waves.
